The Regionaal Archief holds the older archives of a large number of municipalities, district water boards and other government bodies in the northern part of the province of Noord-Holland. Also, archives of private institutions and individuals, for example church communities, associations, businesses and families, are stored in the Regionaal Archief. In addition the RAA has an extensive library and a large collection of visual materials.

The town clerk’s office archives and the World War II documentation collection contain information on Camp Schoorl.
