Eemland Archive |
Eemland Archive maintains the archives of the local authorities of Amersfoort, Baarn, Eemnes, Leusden, Renswoude, Soest and Woudenberg, the Vallei & Eem Water Board, and the Documentation Centre for the National Monument Camp Amersfoort. The archive also holds photographs and (copies of) films made during the Second World War and immediately after the liberation of the camp.
Eemland Archive also holds the archive of the municipal cemeteries in Amersfoort for the period 1829-1984. This archive further contains documents on (the graves of) those who died in Camp Amersfoort. The archive of the Leusden local authority contains material about the camp too, which was on municipal land. The original camp administration is divided between the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation and the War Aftercare Department of the Netherlands Red Cross.
